Softball Information
Welcome to Coal Mountain Softball. Our goal is to provide a healthy, safe and challenging experience for all of the children participating in programs at our community park. Thank you for participating.
League Rule Changes of Note for 2020
8u softball will be coach pitch.
10u softball pitching rubber will be 35’.
13u softball pitching rubber will be 40’.
18u softball pitching rubber will be 43’.
Coaches Important Information / Dates:
January 25th – 6:30pm Coal Mountain coaches meeting at the Coal Mountain community building.
January 27th – Feb 10th – Evaluations February 10th is rain out day.
February 8th – Draft at the Coal Mountain community building starting at 6:00pm.
Times will be staggered by age and communicated to coaches.
February 4th – Coaches clinic hosted by Grit Academy
Coach pitch baseball and softball 1-2:30pm
Kid pitch softball 2:45-3:45pm
Kid pitch baseball 4-5:30pm
February 19th – Practices Begin
March 14th Mandatory Softball – Forsyth County coaches meeting
6:30pm Coal Mountain Community Building
March 18th – Games Begin
April 1st– April 5th – Spring Break NO GAMES
End of May – Postseason Tournament
Softball Evaluations
If your child is unable to make your age groups evaluations, please reach out to Holly Gleeson (770)776-8520 or Shelby Hester (678)414-9406 to discuss alternate arrangements.
6u Softball – No evaluations you will be contacted by a coach after the draft.
8u Softball – February 3rd 9:30am Field 2
10u Softball – February 3rd 11:00am Field 2
13u Softball – February 3rd 12:30pm Field 2
18u Softball – No evaluations
