2019 Rule and Division Alignment Changes:
7/8 division will be divided based on evaluations into 7 majors, 8 majors, and 7/8 minors.
9/10 division will be divided based on evaluations into 9 majors, 10 majors (if enough 10-year-olds of proper ability register), and 9/10 minors.
7 majors and 7/8 minors will be coach pitch.
8 majors will be modified kid pitch (kid pitcher will throw to the batter until an outcome is achieved. If the outcome is a walk the coach will come in and have 2 pitches to finish the at bat.
All 9/10 divisions major or minor will be kid pitch.
2019 Baseball Evaluations:
All evaluations will take place between January 26th- February 9th at Coal Mountain Park. Specific times and locations for each age group are listed below, and are subject to change so check back as the dates come closer.
6U Evaluations: 1:00 p.m., January 26, 2019, on Field 3
12U Evaluations: 3:00 p.m., January 26, 2019, on Field 5
7/8 Last Name Starts with A-M: 6:30 p.m., January 29, 2019, on Field 2
7/8 Last Name Starts with N-Z: 6:30 p.m., January 30, 2019, on Field 2
9/10 Hitting and Fielding Evaluations: 6:00 p.m., January 31, 2019, on Field 5
9/10 Pitching and Catching (Parents’ Discretion): 11:00 a.m., February 2, 2019, on Field 5
14U: TBD, If Needed
18U: TBD, If Needed
Please make sure you child is dressed in appropriate baseball attire (Basebal Pants, Shirt, and Cleats) also be sure to bring your Baseball gear (Bat, Helmet and Glove).

- January 22nd – Coal Mountain Coaches Meeting @ 6:30 pm at Central Park Rec Center Banquet Room
- February 18th – Practices Begin
- March 9th-11th – Slugfest weekend NO PRACTICES
- March 13th –County Coaches Meeting ages 9 and up 6:30 pm Central Park Rec Center, 5-8 years old 7:15 pm
- March 16th – Games Begin
- March 31st – April 7th – Spring Break NO GAMES
- May 17-25th – Postseason Tournament
$165 for the first child $150 for every child after the first

Eligibility Participation is open to any registered child in his/her appropriate age group whose birthday is prior to May 1st. Every child who registers will be placed on a team.
Registration Fees cover costs associated with recreation league play. Tournament or All-Star play is at your expense.
Birth Certificates Birth certificates are required for all first time registrants. Copies will be retained on file at the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department.
Coaching Anyone interested in coaching a team (including returning coaches) must sign the Coach’s Application, Background Check Form and leave a copy of their driver’s license at registration.
Equipment All players are required to bring their own cleats, glove, helmet and bat.
Evaluations In an effort to provide equal competition across teams, we evaluate players as indicated below. If a child is unavailable for evaluations, he is placed on a team as needed during the draft o/a February 11th. Coaches will begin contacting players after that time with specific team
